OUR HERITAGE

Where Others Cut Corners, We Keep Traditions.

From the traditional wooden ghani presses of Rajasthan to the hand-churned bilona method of Madhya Pradesh, we went back to the source. Back to methods that have preserved nutrition for thousands of years. Back to honesty.

Every Mittika oil is cold-pressed below 50°C.
Every jar of Mittika ghee is hand-churned from curd, not cream.
Every product is made the way it was meant to be made:
Slowly. Traditionally. Truthfully.

FOUNDER & CHIEF TASTER

Meet the Man Behind Mittika

Growing up in Rajasthan, our founder remembers the rich aroma of freshly pressed mustard oil filling the kitchen every morning. The local teli (oil pressman) would extract oil right before your eyes - in a wooden ghani, at room temperature, with nothing added.

Years later, standing in a supermarket in Bhopal, reading the back of a refined mustard oil bottle - hexane extracted, bleached, deodorized - the question hit: 'When did we stop trusting the real thing? When did chemicals replace the ghani?'

That question became Mittika. We went back to the villages, found the last remaining ghani operators, and committed to one mission: bring back the oils and ghee India grew up with - pure, wood-pressed, and chemical-free.

"

Mittika means earth. Everything we make comes from it, and everything we make honours it. If your grandmother would not recognise it as real, we do not sell it.
